To Vancouver Island

An early morning alarm call and one bus later we found ourselves at Horseshoe Bay in time for the 8.30am sailing to Vancouver Island.

The 1 hour 40 minute ferry is pleasant enough, some good scenery as we left the mainland and a fantastic breakfast on board.

This photo is taken from the stern of the Queen of Coquitlam just out of Horseshoe Bay. A very light snow fall overnight meant the trees look like they had been dusted with icing sugar.

During the summer we did 7000 miles across America. Since the 31st July we've not been out of a 3 mile radius in Vancouver, so it was nice to leave the city and get some fresh air.
