Old Postcard
This is an image I see every day as I drive the windy little back roads around my house. I've always thought but for a PVC window that the scene has changed little since the twenties, so thanks to Picasa / sepia I've managed to make it look just like that era.
I'm quite lucky really as I seem to have loads of farms and building like this around to shoot (see here), but its only since I've been blipping that I've really paid any attention to my surroundings. This shot is actually taken simply by turning 45 degrees to the right from this shot.
I'm going to backblip for Saturday if I can find a suitable picture from the four or so I took that day.
Was meant to be heading over to Chesterfield today to sign up a load of civil engineers on NVQ Train To Gain funding. George Osbourne has slashed the funding though and now we only have limited amounts left. I can't say I'm against it, all this 'stop the cuts' nonsense is pointless. Years of boom and bust have left us in a state where we need to exercise cuts, and it doesn't matter how many 17 year old anarchists try and smash up government buildings, nothing will change.
