my mantra at the moment is "it has to get worse before it gets better", i really hope that's true.

having started renovations on this house about 2 years ago, i ground to a halt with about 80% of the work done, enough for us to see the change and live in comfortably.But there are some niggles like leaking windows and some dodgy electrics (good combination!) that you just can't ignore. so the toolbelt is back on (not literally) and the classic stepladders are out 'til the bitter end this time and i have dismantled the rotten woodwork from around the kitchen window with no idea of what i'm going to replace it with.

on top of all this i've got chloe to look after (not a bad apprentice but she doesn't take critism well) and loads of "proper" work on which, being self employed, is a godsend at this time of year. oh yeah, and xmas shopping to do...
