Sweet Child of Mine

The whole world smiles with you

Elizabeth slept really well last night. She didn't get up until nearly 8am. She's been in a great mood as a result. Her chest still rattles and her nose is constantly running, but she is in good form.

Waking up at 8am meant that our timings were all wrong for the baby groups today. I took her out for a drive at 10.30 so that she would get a bit of sleep for music class at 11.20. It worked.

We only have 2 more sessions to go and that's it. She's not running the baby group after Christmas, because there's not enough of us to justify it. There is a toddler group, but she recommends that they should be at least 1 and mobile. So I might have to wait until after the February half term.

She would usually get a bottle at 11am, but because she was distracted by music class, she skipped it. She had her lunch when we got home about 12.30pm instead.

Then we went out to playgroup in the afternoon. There was only one other mummy and toddler there. Elizabeth really likes older children. She followed this one around for half the time. She was rewarded with cuddles.

Also, I took her to play with a toy where you fit shapes in the holes, you know what I mean. She has always liked the shapes that go into the holes because they have rattles in them and has only been interested in shaking them and chewing on them. But today she went straight to the main unit and started putting them through the holes! I didn't know she could do this! I was very impressed. I wonder if she's been doing it at the childminders. Must buy some of those toys.
