The Tree
Today I decide it was time to take a photograph of the tree outside my window at work. 2nd floor Dalry.
I was inspired by J who did a beautiful drawing of the above winter tree, quite different from his usual marks.
Earlier in the day JM and I had watched a cat in a tenement window opposite through the trees dark branches. All around us the hectic creative business of Bazaar preparation and finishing off buzzed, but we took a moment, or quite a few indeed, to watch the life of this cat, which seemed to consist mainly of preening, rearranging the curtain that was framing it so well and generally watching life in much the same way JM and I were.
After the exhibition I'm finding it nigh on impossible to build up any sort of head of steam to frame work for Saturday. I am finding it plenty possible to skulk sneakily around the other workshops, under a vague pretence of work (carrying a handful of paper I find helps the authenticity of this masquerade) whilst actually spotting must-have purchases. Ah well. Roll on Saturday.
