Waratah Bay
I have had an AWESOME day today! Kaz took the day off and Spence was in daycare so we had a 'date day'! We dropped Spence off at 8.30 then drove to Waratah Bay via the petrol station in Foster where Mum was working! She was really surprised (but pleased of course) to see us!
We had a look at the surf from the lookout at Waratah Bay and it looked like the sea was really flat with hardly any waves. We were deciding whether to try Sandy Point (about 10 minutes away) or just give it a go there but decided to try it!
We got changed then went out in the surf and the waves were fantastic! They were really clean, not choppy, coming in quite frequently and were fairly strong which was great! I stood up on the second one I tried to catch and Kaz on her first! The water wasn't too cold and the air was warm with a bit of cloud cover sometimes!
There was absolutely no-one else on the beach as far as we could see in both directions!! Kaz and I commented to each other a few times how lucky we are to be able to do this and still both work and we have a beautiful child! We are very lucky!
We were in the surf for about an hour then drove to Foster and had lunch with my pregnant sister, Shell. She is 28 weeks now but looking good! We then played 9 holes of golf at the Foster golf course and happened to run into my Aunty who was just finishing off playing 18 holes! We had a quick chat then got back into it!
We are just hacks but have a great time walking around the course, having a hit and chatting! It was really hot today and when we finished we wished that we could go to the beach for a swim, but luckily the swimming pool is right beside the golf course! So we went for a swim in the pool for 15 minutes before we had to go home and pick Spence up from daycare!
This is a 5 exposure HDR again of the view from the lookout at Waratah Bay looking East along the beach. Wilson's Promontory (a national park) is in the background!
