Tilling

Now that the rains have started, everyone starts preparing their land for sowing thr BIG CROP, maize.
This piece is being prepared for a particular type of ,maize called Hawiian Sweet corn, which we are researching. This year we will have some foe farmers who attend the classes on the farm.
All cultivation in this region is done with a hoe, which in the hands of these experts is a very efficient tool.
The handles are home made with from the forest!
