Rose Elliot Rules
So, when I was eighteen I was given a Rose Elliot vegetarian cookbook as a borthday present. Not the most exciting present you could imagine giving an 18-year-old, eh? But it's turned out to be the only present that I still use now, almost 18 years later. This book is my key kitchen reference - if it ain't in Rose, it ain't happening in my kitchen.
(spooky thought - I've had this book nearly half my life - yikes!)
So, tonight I cooked Rose's toad in the hole, using the recipe on page 108, and very fine it was too.
