Grey Mare's Tail
I was working down near Selkirk in the Scottish borders today. Not far from the town of Moffat is the Grey Mare's Tail, one of the highest waterfalls in Scotland. It is what is known as a hanging valley waterfall. The valley was scoured out by glaciers during the last ice age, leaving the outlet burn of Loch Skene falling about 300 hundred feet down a sheer cliff face. I wish i had more time to get a better look and shot, but time was against me so i made do with this quick shot from the road.
