Spicy Hot Pot

Continuing with my food theme....

My favorite meal in China. The Spicy Hot Pot. mmmmm
This is an old style hot pot restaurant. Each table has a hole in it and it's built on a cement base. There is also a small exhaust chimney above every table. The waiter will bring the pot over with some hot coals underneath it. It will keep the soup boiling for the duration of your meal. The majority of hot pot restaurants here in Harbin have a gas element on each table and some others just have electric hot plates.
Hot pot is more than just a meal.. it's an experience.. and during the winter months here in Harbin, it's an experience that keeps you warm!
