Tangerine time
Today I had my induction for starting as a kind of mentor in school. The school seemed very friendly- everything looks like it's going to be great fun. Its the first 'job' I've had since I gave up work eleven years ago to have my eldest son. It feels really good to be back into doing my own thing- and it won't encroach upon my family time either which is perfect.
I feel like I've been waiting a long time for this morning- to start something new and so once that was done I popped into the supermarket to restock the fruit bowl and grab something for tea. I noticed the nets of tangerines and suddenly realised it seems like Christmas is upon us.
When I was at primary school we used to have a special table cloth for our school Christmas dinner and bowls of tangerines on the table plus I used to get one in my stocking too (showing my age now), hence the orange thingies in the picture.
I'm starting my school role in the new year so I feel I can now wedge Christmas in between all the other stuff going on at the moment. So here we are- one month precisely until the big day. Let the crazy festive season commence!!
