Giving Thanks

Today was Thanksgiving Day in the US. This is my New England family all gathered around the table to enjoy the meal we cooked together.

We feasted on roast turkey stuffed with cornbread and sausage, gravy, green beans almondine, brussels sprouts, corn pudding, creamed onions, cranberry confit with pecans, mashed potatoes, sweet potato souffle, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, pumpkin cheesecake, bread pudding with raisins and apple tart, PLUS, various beverages.

It took six hours to make it (eight if you count the pies we baked yesterday), and about half an hour to eat it.

A grand meal and we were all thankful to be here!

Hope my Blip friends all enjoyed the day too. It's truly a wonderful life, isn't it?
