Pins and Needles

Frosty outside so I've been in all day. I made a small cat, but it's a surprise so I can't blip it.

In 1978 my mum made me a dress with the fabric the pin cushion is made from, and then she used the left over fabric, and many other scraps to make hexagons for a patchwork quilt. When it was complete there were quite a few hexagons unused, so she made them into pin cushions...and I still use this one daily. It's so familiar I almost don't see it.
