-7 degree C in Stavanger today but the snow is going to miss us I think. This is my first winter in Norway and so far its quite amusing to hear about snow hitting the UK already when we have none here. Friends and family assumed that I'd be living in some sort of snow land when I moved and have been asking if we've had any snow for months...but apparently this area gets hardly any snow. The climate is not too far from the UK - we had a nice summer (with a few rainy days thrown in for good measure!), autumn was beautiful and so far so good with winter.

Today we wrapped up warm and walked to Rennesoy Hodnet. It has really beautiful views over the fjord but the sun was so bright I couldn't get a good picture in that direction, so this one is of the pine forest and mountains instead.
