walk on the cold side

We have a lovely stretch of canal by our house and a 'good walk' is making it to the second bridge and back. Today finally Sienna completed that walk without a request for a carry. I could have cried with relief! The fact that it was frozen and that she found much joy in throwing the food we brought for the ducks on to it definitely helped - let's hope that doesn't wear off soon as I fancy another stroll tomorrow!

Anyway my 'nice' start to the day has deteriorated rapidly, with two out of three kids now stricken down with raging coughs and short tempers and one with a 'sprained' ankle that is being demanding.

Best I go and have a glass of wine and breathe!
