Potatoes

Jo and I harvested some of the pototoes we have been growing today. The seed potato packed said they would take until late January to mature. Well thanks to our climate and plenty of rain we are harvesting them now.

I dug up 4 or 5 plants and we got maybe 4 kilos of potatoes. There are still a whole load to dig up but the plants probably need a week or so more.

We went out for dinner tonight but I guarantee that our dinner tomorrow night will have some new potatoes in it!

It ia very exciting to succeed at growing our own backyard produce!
