Indomitable spirit
We learned to be patient observers like the owl. We learned cleverness from the crow, and courage from the jay, who will attack an owl ten times its size to drive it off its territory. But above all of them ranked the chickadee because of its indomitable spirit.

I woke up with a slightly stiff neck, I'm a bit tired too... Our overnight guests are packing up and we'll settle back to our regular quieter routine. Clean up, a trip to the transfer station to dump the holiday trash and hopefully a walk. Later today or tomorrow we'll go to a tree farm and select our live Christmas tree for cutting and pick up in early December.
