Look Up
I was up early this morning and went straight outside in pjs for some pics of the snow. Several foxes had been in the garden and all made their way up to the remains of yesterday blaze. I hope it kept them warm.
My boy was thrilled, skiing sledging, it was all his for the taking. By 8.50 am he was fed up cos noone was texting back. Had to remind him that most teenagers sleep on a Saturday morning.
My girl and I were off to the Garvald Christmas Bazaar, so it was fitting we made our way through the snow. Magical as ever. I indulged in a couple of paintings, a delicious jug, a fork, small hand fork and pruning saw for the allotment, a size 10 cobblers shoe frame and a steel ruler for my girl. All such beautiful objects and all real treasures. I wonder how many blippers I spotted -at least 6 or 7- and only one knows who I am. That's secretly quite thrilling.
Made soup this morning from last nights left overs - so we had ham, potato and cabbage soup for lunch. Can't tell you how scrumptious it was - honestly.
An afternoon of searching on-line for pressies and then we are off out tonight to celebrate a friends birthday.
I took this after lunch, I love the light the snow brings and the sky was so clear and blue. It reminds me of the Imelda May song I'll meet you at the Moon, and if I could link, then you could listen, but I can't, so read instead:-
Were staring at the same sky
Strangers it seems
Were sitting on the same earth
though there's oceans between
I don't know if you know it
but when we miss each other so
Look up,
I'll meet you at the moon.
