not exactly cave paintings

On my way to do a bit a shopping this morning, I spotted this window - with a house attached to it. It's actually part of much larger window and the whole thing can be seen here.

This is another site that I'd never seen before - despite having passed it numerous times. A friend who lives opposite the house happened to be returning home as I was snapping away and explained that although the carvings have always been there, they have only been painted fairly recently, which is probably why I've never noticed them before. She then told me that the house was originally a bakery, which explains the large windows and possibly the unusual carvings. It was closed up for a long time and only only used as a house for the past couple of years. She tells me that the inside is beautiful - maybe if i hang around outside for long enough one day, someone will invite me in to have a snoop look around.
