Snow on the pumpkin

It started to snow this morning, big fluffy flakes that floated down from the white sky. As I began our preparations for the big American Thanksgiving dinner celebration we will have this evening, I could watch from the kitchen window as the falling cloud of snow came down from the mountains and enveloped our little house. It was beautiful... and gone by noon! I have a feeling it is the beginning of something bigger though!

Our dinner was lovely and a good time was had by all. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, it holds all the memories of family gatherings without any commercialism and hype. It is about being thankful for our many blessings and giving thanks surrounded by those you love.
