A Little Miracle!

Meet Mick.

A friend of mine thought they'd hit a bird last night driving home. Believe it or not, he'd disappeared behind the metal grille of the car and spent all night in the freezing cold, until he was discovered and rescued this morning (only after the original Mick's Lexus was taken to pieces to get him out!).

He was pretty poorly when he arrived, but with the help of a hot water bottle, some fluids, pain relief, antibiotics and warm meal, he's really bounced back - to the point of taking off and having a fly around the practice! He's got a fractured leg, so him and his x-rays are off to the Raptor Foundation this afternoon for some specialist care and rehabilitation. The photo really doesn't do him justice - he is absolutely beautiful, and we've very much enjoyed being his A&E doctor/nurse!!!

Fingers crossed for Mick (or Michelle . . . .as he/she may turn out to be) and a big thank you to the Raptor Foundation for giving him the best possible chance!
