PENYGHENT

It was such a glorious day that a run out up the Dale was called for. In my car though seeing as G's was so pathetic yesterday; wimp. Which meant that I could stop and photograph where ever and whenever I pleased. What fun!

We aimed for Ribblehead Viaduct and had our flask of coffee there and a wander in the snow, before wending our way back home for lunch. Which was supposed to be a cheese and ham toastie but the sandwich toaster eventually blew up. It has been threatening to ever since we had the kitchen wiring renewed and after two years of tripping the switch thingy under the sink, it has given up the ghost.

This is a photo of Penyghent, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, alongside Ingleborough, and Whernside which rises above the Ribbehead Viaduct. There is a Three Peaks Challenge taking in all three hills. I have completed it, but over about three years rather than all in one day which I think is supposed to be the general idea. I feel you can sometimes have too much of a good thing all in one day!
