the Santa stand ins were looking for the mince pie

It was the Christmas lights turn on in Penrith today, with child #1 singing in the choir recital, which was followed by the annual Santa Dash in aid of Hospice at Home.

I had freezing toes, but warm fingers after I had bought a decadent hot chocolate in aid of Penruddock School while we waited for the singing. Child #2 got to look after the local MP's puppy while he warmed up for the Santa dash, and we had to tear him away.
