Catya, Chorlton

Spent the day helping a friend out in her cafe in Chorlton. It's been years since I did cafe work and it was actually much more mellow than I remember. Lots of cake and coffee, chilled out customers and lovely staff.
Closing up, the frosty night drawing in outside, Steph's eldest daughter came to meet her from work and I caught the opportunity to snap her, looking just like a girl in a Hopper painting, with all the reflected Christmas lights behind her. I love her expression and the combination of fishnets and a bow in her hair.
Definitely feeling a mood of hibernation right now. Dark nights are cosy, but getting a bit more sunlight would make me smile.
