Snowday

Well, today was a bit of a shock, kind of. Woke up to even more snow than we had last night, somewhat blizzard like when I looked out this morning. Great as snow is, having made plans to meet up with a few friends, and going to my aunts with her birthday present, I could slowly see these plans changing as the day went on...

As the day went on, the stories were coming in thick and fast, one friend stranded up by Dundee in a log cabin, her uncle stuck on the motorway trying to get to them, traffic at a stand still on the m9, roads closed due to accidents and all because of a bit of snow.

From my little jaunt out today, I could have picked any photo, this not being the best, but the story behind it was just too good to pass up...walking down the path, or what we thought was the path, in the distance there are two boys, one to the left and one to the right, the one to the left is rolling snowballs, the one to the right is struggling to get up the hill...with his shopping trolley full of snowballs!!! Least he's going to be well prepared, not sure when he's going to need that amount of snowballs, but he's definitely prepared! As for us we just made a snowman, that turned out more bunny shaped than man shaped, but we cleared the garden of snow at least.

Now I'm going to curl up and watch tv, don't think being out in the cold has done much for the oncoming cold I felt at the end of the week, but day off tomorrow to recover before being back out in it.
