The True Meaning of Christmas

I've had this wall hanging for the last 10 years, from when I lived in Japan. And now it hangs on my wall in Los Angeles. Much like math, love is universal and much like the McDonalds logo, it's recognized in just about every country.

It can refer to chocolate. Or your favorite sports team. Or the latest and greatest video game. It is a response to receiving that li'l black dress you've always wanted. It's a precurser to inspiration. And it invokes both tears of happiness and tears of sadness.

But what "love" isn't is that it's not said enough to the people nearest and dearest. Often with relatives and friends, "love" is taken for granted. In America we give thanks on the third Thursday of November... one day of the year. But we should love the other 364.
