Islands 2

At 8am this morning I jumped in the boat and heading around to Fitzroy to pick up Charlie, the generator engineer. Dropped him back at the bay, and he set to work.

First he replaced the head gasket in the big generator and by lunch he had that working. But the end of the day he had to old Lister working again. Now 2 generators in action - success and relief!

Charlie is classic. He's 76 years old and loves generators, and more specifically Listers. He's not in great heath, but motors are his love.

In between all this I did some work around the property. Mowing mostly. Then did some fishing in the afternoon and got a couple more.

Dropped Charlie off at 6pm, 10 hours after I picked him up, he hardly stopped for a break.

On the way back I detoured for a view of the islands and Little Barrier. Absolutely fantastic.
