Sprinkling of snow

Full day out and about, traveling to and fro through all the snow, but no pictures. Up when it was still dark to walk along to Haymarket to get picked up by B for a day of photographic assisting. Had a to dodge a pavement snowplough as it made it's way past, clearing and gritting the pavements. There were two of them, one on either side of the road, heading up Morrison Street. Never seen them before - perhaps they are new, and perhaps that's the sum of the fleet, but still a good development.
B had had a late call for a couple of portraits for a London magazine - one in North Berwick and the other in Castle Douglas. Set out in the snow, not quite sure if we'd get to both of them. As it got snowier we wondered if we'd even make the first one. North Berwick was actually Gifford, and slightly outside the village. Still we made it and the shoot went well. From there it was across the country, into gradually less and less snow,at least until the last few miles. It too wasn't exactly at Castle Douglas, up a snowy road that probably never sees a snowplough or a gritter. Shoot done by four and headed back. Temperatures plunged as the sun went down. Lowest, as displayed on B's dashboard was minus 9, around Biggar. By the time we got back home it was plus 1 - ten degrees in less than thirty miles.
This was the front hedge when I got home, with barely a sprinkling of snow.
