Not Snow

I leave Yorkshire for a couple of days and in my absence it fancies having a go at being a bit of Scandinavia and comes over all crisp and snowy and sub-zero!
Lancashire was cold, but there's more snow on this side o'Pennines.....

I decided not to contribute to today's flurry of snow blips, despite the truly stunning scenery I passed on my way home earlier. I was focussing on keeping the car on the road so decided not to stop and take photos.

And the snow meant I had to cut short my visit, so instead of the planned day of spending some time with Mum on her birthday and having a mooch around nearby Clitheroe, with a spot of lunch, I decided I'd best head off. At that point it was snowing and the sky looked laden with more snow. Needless to say, after setting off, the snow stopped and the sun came out......

Anyway, this is an emergency book blip. Sorry. I'm back at work tomorrow, so am aiming for a nice bit of grim. Unless the students are still staging their sit-in....

Ooh and there was a bit of rioting in Preston on Sat - it was with great restraint that I didn't head off in the car with camera in search of another reportage blip ;-)
