Dreary Day

I heard some great news today. I don't believe I mentioned this but my friend has been in the hospital. He recently had a stroke, about 6 actually in one day, and is now paralized. He's 89 I believe, and I swear that man must have 9 lives. He has survived Cancer, a heart attack, and numerous strokes. I went to see him the other day, and saw him just lying in the hospital bed with shallow breaths and that stare one gets when they have accepted their fate (I suppose one could call it the death stare. Anyway, I heard today that he was sitting up on the side of the bed and his breathing is normal. How happy that has made me today.
