Thistle Down

By Ethel

Half-Way Woman

Half-way...a woman,
She was then.
With beauty wrapped around her,
At the age of ten.

Taking on the traits,
Of a woman to be.
So full of sweetness,
So lovely...was she.

Growing in femininity,
Is something she grew.
Something prized above rubies,
So fresh...and so new.

With the seeds of a woman,
That clung all the while.
And put in her potentials,
Then added a smile.

In reaching maturity,
She will be rightly styled.
With the ways of a woman,
Brought up from a child.
