Ponderosa Pine Pom Poms
The sun made a very brief appearance today in Cheney, WA -- about 10 minutes, between wintry systems. It provided no heat, but lots of beauty. The sky was a brilliantly blue backdrop for frost-encrusted trees. This tall ponderosa pine looked like it was holding hundreds of white pom poms, or maybe cotton mopheads. The next system moved in a few minutes later, promising almost 10 inches of new snow between tonight and tomorrow evening. Whooooboy!
