Well Worth the Sugar Coma
It's an exclusive club, nary more than six of us. We meet in secrecy, scheming our plan and choosing the brave soul who will escape the office circa 3 pm, out the back door, down the freight elevator and across the basement parking lot. Battling traffic, running every yellow light to get to the almighty end, the motherload of sugar confectionary... all that is: Frosted Cupcakery.
Ohhh, okay, so maybe it's not as "Mission Impossible" as I described, but, it is a little sweet bite of heaven (or rather, a whole mouthful of heaven). For anyone who lives in Los Angeles proper, the gourmet cupcake sensation elicits temptation. It's a craze that has graduated from fad phase to become a staple of any thank you gift to clients, or as is in our case, a quick fix sugar rush for those of us who work til the sun goes down (which, um, means 5 pm nowadays, but that's beside the point).
Needless to say, today we got the fourth of six cupcakes redeemable with our coupons. And now as I veg at home, my belly, pancreas and blood sugar is satisfied to the max.
