Cocoa pods

At around this time for the past three years, a wonderful lady named Elena would send me a basket of newly picked cocoa pods. These just arrived this morning. I shall split them open, take out the fleshy seeds and lay them out to dry and ferment for a few days. They shall then be roasted and ground to produce the purest chocolate you can imagine.
