hoofing it

Glad to be off today and leave my job share to worry about how everyone was going to manage to work for the next 48 hours. SD phoned just after 9 to say all the Glasgow schools were off and he was heading home, pathetic if you ask me, however, we did have a lovely day hoofing it around to avoid driving. Popped down to see the olds who were fine, in fact Dad was out meeting his pals for their usual Wednesday coffee! Put some money into the local economy, after too much internet shopping and really felt for the small shops this weather is killing them. Another day off tomorrow, but I think the garden centre will be off the agenda. The afternoon sun was disappearing as we walked back up "the line" from Kirkie so yet another snowscape.
