Tasty Snowman
Delighted by the snow (with no idea what lay ahead), Arlo and I took a snowy stomp down to the shops to buy some essentials and then headed back to the garden to make a snowman. There wasn't too much snow then and we wanted to make the most of it, believing it to be a fleeting freaky blip in early Winter.
Arlo went upstairs to help Bry find some useful bits and bobs to use for the Snowman's face and came back with a green chilli pepper for his nose and 2 cherry tomatoes for his eyes. I used 2 big branches of rosemary for his arms. All he needed was a few bits of garlic stuck in him and he'd have been a lovely roast!
I had this really weird sensation when I got back upstairs and looked down at the snowman from my window (I sometimes get it when I have hung up washing too). Seeing it from a completely different angle with all the footprints around him I got this weird feeling of perspective - it was almost like 'was I actually just down there making that?'. It's hard to explain but as I looked out at him I felt like I was in the present AND the past at the same time. There I was only moments before with Arlo building the snowman and here I was now looking at what I'd made with all our footprints around him.
Tell me that makes sense!
