The Britannia Inn in Elterwater, the Langdale Valley. 400 years old, a former farm residence before becoming a coaching Inn...one of those great country pubs where the 'ale' handpumps outnumber the 'lager' handpumps. No music. No fruit machines. Quality breakfasts, cracking bangers and a meat I had forgotten the true taste of ......bacon. I recommend this to you 'blippers' if you ever find yourself in this wonderful part of the world.
