In Awe
I planned on using that tonight. It was a free pass to see a movie. There was a group of people who planned on going together. I left my house and started to head to the town beside where i live, about a 30 minute drive. Before i made it out of town my cell phone rang and someone asked if the could ride with me. I said yea and pulled off into the parking lot across the road from where he called me. He said he'd be there soon. I sat and listened to music and didnt' bother to turn my engine off because i knew it would only be a minute or 2, (i live in a small town, hence why i have to go to a different town to see a movie) While waiting the serpentine belt split in half and started flapping around and i heard it. When my friend arrived, him and his father helped me discover what i was hearing. Obviously, i never made it to the movies because i still ahve the free pass. After a lot of anger at the fact that i could no longer go to the movies, and i disappointed my friend in the fact that i couldn't take him either, I finally accepted it and began being thankful for all God did this evening. Not only did he have me stop less then 2 minutes before the belt broke half broke (which would have resulted in no power steering, which is BAD, and very possibly a wreck) He also kept me in town. And He provided a ride home since most other people in town, including my parents were busy or out of town. I can't imagine what would have happened if i had been driving, on a busy road out of town, and the belt broke there. My parents moved the car after they returned to town and the belt broke completly. MY father was able to steer it with pure muscle because of how hard it is to turn the wheels without the power steering. They left it at our mechanics, which wasn't even a mile from where it broke down. So i do have to thank God for everythign he safed me form, and what he provided me with (a ride home)
