No 1 Town View

Today's the day .................. for topiary

This is the garden of No 1 Town View, which as its address implies, has a very nice view over a field to St Thomas's Church and the town of Kendal. It has a very distinctive garden as you can see consisting almost entirely of shaped coniferous trees.

It was actually up for sale when we were moving to Kendal and although it was a bit out of our price range, we did get a brochure for it from the estate agents. To be honest though, it was a non-starter because of the garden. I mean - there's not a lot you can do with shaped trees - except go on trimming them.

I suppose you could have cut them down but knowing the strict rules and planning regulations around here - that probably would have been a hanging offence ..........!
