Dubai rugby sevens - day one

I'm sure there are lots of good photos to be taken at the Sevens tournament this weekend but, to be honest, I just couldn't be bothered today as I was completely shattered and aching all over. This was the view from our team HQ (Hurricane Hill).

I'm playing in the social tournament in a scratch team. This is how it should be. However, both sides we played today were full of young men in the prime of their lives and playing good rugby. The team of forty somethings that we are should be playing 10 a side in the vets and were completely outclassed. Anyway, apart from the aches and pains, the stiff arm tackle I thought was going to cripple me, and getting badly beaten twice, it was a great day with great camaradarie in adversity! Only 2 more days to go!
