This is hardcore

I've been enviously looking at the NZ blippers' mountain biking shots recently: blue skies, sunshine and wide sandy roads. It's a bit grimmer in the North at the moment.

I was going out on my bike come rain or shine today - and there was more rain than shine. Given the weather, I thought that Glentress would be quieit , turned out I was wrong. There was plenty of folk braving the conditions. I thought about doing some of the black route, but checked out the moor and found it to be grim: wet snow on the ground and rain coming in at an angle so I stuck to the red and had a bit of fun instead. When I got back I was caked in mud. I
am glad I kicked myslf out the door today and went for the healthy option, my only extravagance was that I got my bike cleaned at the Hub - I couldn't face the idea of cleaning it when I got home.
