Hels,James,John and Joe at Hels birthday party. very few people turned up due to weather disruptions but a very good evening was had, lots of catching up to do as it has been a long time since I made it down to Newcastle for a proper visit to friends rather than family.

Absolutely packed train was a nightmare till Dunbar where some passengers debarked and relieved the pressure a little. After Berwick I found the party carriage where a horde of young Scots were playing music on their phones and drinking heavily. Several bottles of buckfast where in evidence, so that made it OK to get my 2 remaining cans of Special Brew out without looking conspicuous and potentially offending the parents of the screaming baby in the crowded vestibule.
