Blowing in the wind

We have a slightly breezy day here in Symi today and these gauzy, flag things caught my eye as I walked home for my break. The full string of them can be seen here and here. They have medieval looking pictures on them and some kind of script that I couldn't work out. When the lady who owns the house returns next summer I'll ask her about them but in the meantime it's another thing to wonder about.

They are yet another thing I have never noticed before. I'm beginning to think that I must have been walking Symi for the last 8 years with my eyes closed!

I became a member today (hooray for me) so I could've also included this in large but I think I uploaded wrongly. I'll learn!
