Daftness!
Yes, it's still icy and cold, but no more snow has fallen and there is evidence of ice melting and a very slow thaw starting, but there is still plenty of snow to play in! We headed up to the of the hill and tracked little paw prints back to holes in the walls and tussocks of frozen snowy grass. No actual creatures to be seen though. The hill and cliffs were very quiet, everything must be hunkered down keeping warm.
On the shore there are lots of birds down at the water's edge, in the exposed seaweed at low tide. Quite a few curlew among them, herons, plovers, redshanks and lots of dunlin. Ollie shows no desire to head to the sea these days - rolling in the snow is all the cooling off he seems to need!
