Snow drift rescue
The children's head teacher called me today at 12.30 to say the school was closing because of the weather. I didn't know what the fuss was about. It was fine in Aberlour.
I collected the kids at 12.45 and by 1.15pm we were stuck in a 3ft snow drift on the road between Blacksboat and Knockando. It was a little bit scary and also a measure of how things can quickly change with some snow and a bit of wind. The drifts had come from nowhere.
The blip shows the tractor at the spot where the farmer had pulled us clear a minute earlier. He went back to clear the road and drag his sister clear further on up the road.
