The New Cut

This section of The Great Ouse is known to locals as The New Cut. As with anything "new" the timing is relative because the name originates from the era when the Embankment was developed in the Reign of Queen Victoria!

Unfortunately a very grey day again today - according to the weather forecast no prospect of anything much better in the near future :(

I got this image from the same spot as this one taken a month ago.. What a difference.
