0515. Woke up bright and breezy ready for the journey home.
0615. Checked out of hotel for the drive to the airport.
0700. Van safely parked up and secured. We were about to check in for the flight to Southampton when.....CANCELLED!
0715. Rebooked on flight to Exeter. Voucher received for breakfast. So, it was upstairs to chill out over a full fry up.
0730 - 1200. Waiting at airport, listening to festive music and trying to find out train times from Exeter to Portsmouth. Not much luck as the UK seems to have shut down for the winter. No sign of any flybe jets, so I took one of this one instead.
1230. Finally boarded flight.
1245 - 1355. In the air, heading somewhere in the Devon countryside.
1400. Landed at Exeter. Looked for bus to train station. No sign of any bus. Looked for a taxi... No sign of any taxi.

I said to Verd, "Shall we just hire a car" Fifteen minutes later, we were on our way heading up the A303 in the right direction. I think we both agreed, this was the better option instead of hanging round train stations getting more depressed. Thank goodness for the company credit card.

1700. Dropped Verd off at Fareham.
1730. Finally arrived home for a warm welcome. Thanks Emsie.

1845. OLIVER SENT TO BED EARLY FOR ARGUING AND SHOUTING! Thats a great way to start the weekend. Maybe he'll be in a better mood tomorrow. He had the day off today. Maybe he just had cabin fever??!!
