From Where One Stands

Determination. And failing.

Tonight I was determined that I was not going to let the weather or the dark or the stinkky cold (temperature) or the stinking cold (bug) stop me from taking photos when I finally got home from work.

However, tonight I discovered:
1) That in the dark your camera wont auto-focus.
2) That no matter how good an iso or how long a shutter speed, when its dark you still cant see what youre trying to focus on to use manual focus properly.
3) That you therefore spend a lot or time guessing, correcting and guessing again.
4) That after a lot of guessing and correcting and guessing again, when its snowy and dark and cold (temperature) and you have cold (bugs) you eventually have to give up and go and get warm.

Therefore, as a result of points 1-4 above, my shots of snowy frozen roses in the dark are pretty pants!
