Thistle Down

By Ethel

My Talents

I think I learned,
To write my name.
And then I learned,
To play a game.

So many times,
I sat for hours.
And with a thread,
I sewed some flowers.

At first...I crocheted,
And then I could knit.
I found a quiet place,
Where I liked to sit.

A picture...I made,
With paints so bright.
Which turned out to be,
My hearts delight.

So many things,
I have done in my day.
The chaff and the wheat,
Have been given away.
