Oh, what a tangled web we weave...

... when we don't make sure we put the tree lights away properly the previous year!

I certainly don't remember promising the kids we would put the decorations up today (never done it this early before!) but have already been worn down and retrieved five boxes of the stuff out of the garage.

To be honest, it never really feels like Christmas is nearly here until I've spent an hour unravelling the tree lights. Luckily, most of them seem to be still intact and working and will no doubt be safely - and neatly - in their proper place by lunchtime.
